There is something new on The Antwerp fashion Scene Menu. The Menu, a chic new boutique launched by Louise Proot. Curating an eclectic mix of emerging and established designers, Proot has quickly carved out a space for those who crave fashion that’s daring yet effortlessly stylish. LE LIST sat down with Louise to explore her inspiration behind the store, her favorite pieces, and why The Menu is already on every fashionista's radar.

What's your favorite item in the store and why?
My favorite item in the store is this gorgeous dress from Michelle Del Rio, handmade in Colombia. It’s called the Ramona dress, and I think it’s just stunning if you need to go to a party or event.
If you could only pick one piece of clothing from the store to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think it would be the Salma jeans by Saks Pott, because it’s the most perfect jeans you’ve ever seen. I would take it in the denim color, because I feel like a good piece of denim is a no-brainer.
What trend do you see for the upcoming fall/winter that we absolutely need to try?
Capri pants are everywhere. They are very effortless and you can wear them throughout the day but also in the evening with a pair of heels and a blazer.
What’s is one piece of clothing you always need in your closet?
A little black dress. Because you can always accessorise it, you just need to have one.

How would you describe The Menu's style in three words?
Edgy, Bold and Effortless.
What's your ultimate styling tip for a last-minute outfit?
Accessorise.

What makes The Menu unique compared to other stores in Antwerp?
Definitely the brand mix, because all the brands are very new to Antwerp and some are even new to Belgium. I think it’s super nice to introduce new designers both upcoming and more established designers that bring something new.
What's the one piece of clothing that always makes you feel confident?
Definitely a revenge dress and just a piece of clothing that highlights the things you like about yourself.

What do you want to achieve with The Menu?
I think I want The Menu to become a place to inspire, bring people together and just a place that you need to come visit in Antwerp.
